How to Change Oil on 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 Cummins
This is absurd, trying to achieve perfection is impossible, you can't judge the difference between oil under the piston on the up stroke verses oil on the down stroke, and it's made even harder by engines using piston cooling nozzles, you are wasting time and money...
did u change your alignment bolt or u keep it stock
You buy me sum and do it to mines🥺
440 with 3.55 or gear vendors all day
Great video…thanks🔥
This was a HUUUUGE help. Thanks man!! Hardest part for me was getting the damn wire connector off. A tip for others...if it won't disconnect try pushing it from the backside of the connector. Use a long screwdriver.
Glad to help man!!
Balancing that glass on the corner had me really worried.
Great video tired of seeing everyone else use silver tape and gap filler on these things
Thanks man, no tape here!!
What's the small half rounded hole next to the carburetor on the passenger side for? in between the valve cover and intake manifold
Where is it
Do you have 3 hard lines running down the passenger side frame and coming out there? Truck had all lines disconnected so I can confused on which line is the main fuel line into the pump itself
You ever see a brand new seal leak? I changed mine and there is a little puddle under it after hardly driving it, also what is the weep hole for? Not even sure mine had one
What size carb are you running and what cam are you using? I want to build my 67 Coronet 383 the same as yours.
I'm having the problem only question is the manual pump doing the work.? Or electric
Thanks! This was a good helper for a first timer, it was thorough and included the electrical connections. Took alternator off a 99 dodge ram 2500 24v diesel. Thanks a lot.
So glad that my video helped! 💪🏼💪🏼
Met guys like that... ran the guts out of it the whole way home then complained when something broke. We call them "women" around here.
You meet guys that you call women?? 🫣
I guess we know who the gear head is. And I can only guess that he should be home washing the dishes, and vacuuming. Lol!
You got more problems than just a starter
Wha tools would I need
Nice
Mean lil’ scoot!!
Wow this is a terrible way to do the rears. Front and rear, remove the axle nut with an impact. Then in the rears remove the upper links at the knuckle. NO need to remove the rear shock, and DO NOT remove the bolts on the lower A arm. That is that absolute hard way to do this. Yikes.
The shock had to be removed, def leveling needed to be swapped for standard shocks during this install. We did it this way and worked just fine, have a nice day!
Thanks brother this video made me purchase the sensor myself and change it with the special socket.. have a 2015 black srt as well.. explained perfectly
That’s killer I’m glad the video was helpful to you! Good job gettin ‘er done
Great 👍 video I have a 65 comet 6 cylinder with a one barrel and the car starts when I put it on drive it dies can you give me a tip ?
By mopar correction
I dig the lines on those Dodge more than some new cars. If that is a special edition set up for drag back in the day by moose then that is a rare cool gem!
New cars can never touch the styling and class of the originals! And this is a modified car made into a prostreet car
Nocar correction
I just got mine on again 86 w250 I did it from the bottom but next time I think I will take the alternator off like you thanks for the video take care.
You’re welcome man glad to help
I do exactly the same thing Drilled out pistons make less weight at the rotating assembly
some scotch bright, degreaser and sand paper and you can reuse it.
Good work, I also have a '96 USFS XJ.
Thank you, that’s rad they’re cool!
Good tune .
Well done, my friend, but I want to ask you whether the car has become more comfortable on bumps than before, or is it the same because I care about comfort, and if you have any way to make the car comfortable while walking, then this is what matters more to me than downloading it. Thank you.
Thank you, we felt the car was just as comfortable after doing this upgrade as it was before doing the lowering. Not a noticeable change in ride comfort and it still handled very good.
I’ve been a diesel mechanic for almost 30 years and my goal in life is to pour one gallon of anything in a truck without spilling it before I retire but I’m pretty certain it’ll never happen 😂😂
That’s a rad goal haha!! I believe in you
Lightning the pistons for really big hp.
WoW such great ingenious technique
Konge sete
Give your head a shake and replace the entire crossmember. Patching that original is a garbage way to repair that car. On a 68 Coronet I had less rust than that and I replaced the whole crossmember, the final result is far superior.
i probably wouldn't reuse that one.
There's a million rv and marine 440s still laying around. Just in Alaska alone
Where have you been? Lets pump up those video numbers.
just trying to keep up with you!
just knock it out the bottom
Very helpful! My duster has really bad rust in the trunk gutters, and where the gutters meet under the rear window. Thanks for the good walkthrough!
Glad it was helpful man, you got this!
I have the same dodge but mine has a 361 big block and I can’t find any starters to match. I spent 3k on the motor and have yet to be able to start it since because of the lack of the starter wanting to work right. Any tips?
should a pretty common starter to find, a 361 and a 360 should take the same starter (5.9L) you could go to your local parts store ask for one for a 99 duragno w/5.9L. I used them on all my small block LA mopar engines.
@@FanelliRestorations thank you so much! Really hoping to get this truck road worthy!
Right on man! Getting a transmission out and back in all by yourself is always so satisfying. The Wildcat really does look great and smooth going down the highway. Cool night drive footage of SLC
thanks for the kind words man, was a beast of a job both re-installing and editing all this footage lol, proud it's done and crusin' good.
@@FanelliRestorations Totally worth it! I love seeing the highway footage. You just never see 60s muscle on the highway. I drive a 1970 Tempest from Tooele to SLC as much as I can.
@@landonsheffield6160 that's awesome man keep on it, I only ever see a handful of classics on the road out here, most are garage queens until the next show.
Great video! Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Little sand paper and jb weld will be fine on that piston..run it.🤣👍
There you go!
Hell, I thought we would just reuse that piston once it came out😫
My dad had a ‘63 330 when I was born. Dark blue with 3 on the tree. Years of memories in that back seat! Do you still have yours?
That’s really neat, I bet you enjoyed that. And yes I still have both this one and a blue 2dr!
Do u still have it
Nope I sold her back in 2017
Keep cranking out this content brother
Thank you sure will!
